Tina's 19th Birthday Dinner 23/05/14

On my way to the bus stop.
Went to town early because I felt like shopping by myself. Yes, it sounds pretty lonely, LOL but I prefer shopping alone when I wanna look for something to buy. I do shop with my friends when they hit me up haha but some reason I feel weird to ask someone to go shop with me. I have even shopped by myself in Canberra and in Thailand.... LOL, I do have friends guizzzz.

I was planning to buy a crime book at Dymocks but then I had a really bad headache which made me lose my desire to buy it. I'll buy the book next time, haha.

Later met up with my other mates and took the tram to the restaurant since finding a car park in the city on a Friday night is like almost impossible.

At Ginza Miyako in Stamford plaza.

Can I just say this place scored 10 out 10 for costumer service. The waiters and waitresses were all very polite and kind to the point it was really funny. One of the waitress was placing a cup of water for each person at one end. So we decided to pass the cup down and she was so shocked. Then she was like ''Ohhh nooo, noooo, let me do it!''. It was as if it was her first time seeing costumers helping out, LOL. Or maybe it was.. LOL. Then there was another dude, when the waiter was about to place the cloth towels/tissues w.e on our lap, my friend Dianne was like ''What are you doing?''. Everyone laughed and he was so dumbfounded. We definitely don't go to a high class restaurant often so we were not used to the really good hospitality, HAHA. To break the awkwardness for the dude, I just said we can do it ourselves.

I would rate the food 8/10. The food was nice and the presentation was on point but the price was very high for the amount we received.

When I was outside of the restaurant, waiting for my two other friends. Once they were about to leave the restaurant, the waitress again screamed out ''Nooooo, let me open it!'' and reached out her arm then.... *sounds of the door opening* my friend opened the door LOL. When my friend told me, I was laughing at how cute the waitress was.

Then we had dessert to end the night. We went to Gelatissimo and got their 32 scoops of icecream. 70% of it was nice as I like their creamy flavours but their dark chocolate and very sour sorbet flavours were a no-no.

Mt Yum Yum

First Topshop Haul

With the cold weather kicking in, I needed to buy some jackets for the upcoming winter season. I'm slightly disappointed in my purchase. The Colour Block Parka Jacket I bought for AU$63.61 was not what I expected. While in the midst of deciding, I imagined it to be thick and warm like asos's parka jackets. The jacket came in all wrinkled due to its thin material. Lammeeee. The cons of ordering online. And what sucks is that couple of days after I made my order, someone on eBay listed the jacket for $40 --"
Haha oh well, the jacket is still cute. I'll just layer up with it and it can be worn in the slight warmer days.
On the positive note, the jacket has pretty big pockets in the front! Came to a real good use as the day I wore it, I didn't need to carry my bag. My wallet, keys, friend's sunglasses, lip gloss, face powder fitted in my two pockets and there was enough space for more random things haha.

The second thing I got was their Tika2 High Vamp Skaters for AU$36.35. Slip ons has been a big trend for the past couple of months and it seems like currently every fashionistas on Instagram has a pair. To me it appears the black version of what I got is more popular so I purchased the white one instead to be a tad bit different, haha.
Although the shoe may appear comfy, it's quite uncomfortable at first and may be tad tight for those who have wide feet. It's fairly sturdy so you need to walk in it for a while for it to be more comfortable. At least it kinda means it won't wear out quickly, lol.

The third thing I got was a lip balm. Lip Smaker in the mango flavour. It's just meh. Smells nice but doesn't really moisturise my lips much.

Also if you are a Uni student, you can get 10% off on all your purchases which is pretty neat. The shipping to Australia took 2 weeks, which I am not surprised.

Surprise!

On the 22nd of May, it was my close friend, Tuna's *ahem.. I mean Tina's 19th birthday. As few of my friends and I felt bad that we couldn't attend the clubs on the following Saturday for her, in hope to make her feel better -  I orchestrated with my friends a mini surprise for Tina. On the day I went to town to buy a cake from Bread Top then met up with Dianne. Got into the car and called Tina, I had to put my acting skills on the line and pretend that I couldn't attend to her birthday dinner on Friday. She sounded so down, ughh the guilt at the time. The reason I did that was to find out what time she would be home so my mates and I could surprise her. Like wait, how does that work? Well.... Since I pretend that I wasn't going to her dinner, I said I would drop off her present that night as I felt bad. To do so, I asked what time she will be at home. Boo Ya. That's when she said she will be probably be home at 6pm. Right after I finished the call and my friend, Dianne drove off. Then suddenly Tina and Hien appeared walking on the same street! Crapping my pants I did a full on 90 degree bend so she couldn't see me. And the lights had to turn red too --'' But fortunately we turned to another street and escaped!! Haha.

6:00 pm: mission completed successfully!!

Cake time!

Had Nandos to end the night.

Next Direct: Black Large Fold Top Tote

Using a same shoulder bag on constant repeat for over a year, the fashion police had enough and told me it was definitely time for me to buy a new handbag. I have quite an expensive taste in branded handbags but unfortunately I ain't no baller and be throwing money in the air like it was nothing. So I searched far and wide... crossed the seven seas (not really, I just sat on one spot in my room... searching away on the computer) for decent looking handbags to purchase. Then I came across Next Direct through Rewards Central (a site where you can earn money when you buy stuff from certain sites). I browsed a bit and the fashion wasn't my style but then...... there it was, a phillip lim look-a-like... kinda.. not really but yeah it reminded me of it. LOL.

Just hangin'

The Black Large Fold Top Bag is hella spacious and would be great for me once I start school in mid year. The bag retailed for AU$64 which is a great price! It's an absolute bargain comparing to the US$895 bag. Although it is obviously not the famous 3.1 Phillip Lim's 'The Pashil Large Shark-Effect Leather Trapeze bag', I guess they can be considered cousins or so. Also Next Direct has a smaller version which I think looks more similar to Phillip Lim's designer bag. click here to see the smaller version.

After debating with myself for couple of weeks, I decided to purchase the bag after I watched a beauty guru on youtube reviewing the bag. I told myself not to be overly picky and just go for it, haha. Funny thing is I never hesitate to buy food but when it comes to clothes, it takes me days or weeks before deciding whether or not I should buy it.

So on the 11th of May I ordered it, since it was on Sunday, they dispatched the order the next day. I was quite surprise to see that the parcel arrived few days later on the 15th, like dayuummm I gotta admit they have pretty fast shipping since it's a UK brand and I live in Australia. The only bad thing I didn't like about the bag was the smell of it... I don't even know how to explain it... it just smells weird and crap LOL. But it ain't gonna stop me from wearing it. I'll just be smelly and fabulous~~~~

''Oh hello there, you fine thang'' said the Bag
